I'm not entirely sure where to post this, but this is the book where it really struck me.
Assuming that every vampire inherits his mother's abilities, I always thought it was odd that it was never mentioned or hinted that Camden could (probably) read the minds of those around him. Or any of the other rogues.
They never seem to have an ability whenever there are fights with them. I find that so surreal that if someone had these supernatural powers that they wouldn't use them to their advantage during battle. Not even Dragos seems to use his gift, though I suppose it takes a while for some of them to gain the ability to maintain it?
Was it ever explained why they never seem to use them or is it just to be assumed that because they're so wild with bloodlust that they cannot gather enough control and focus to use their powers?
And do all vampires possess a slight ability of being able to move objects with their mind? I noticed both Tegan and Lucan could do it, but can't remember if any of the others were able. You think it's just the Gen Ones that can do this kind of stuff?
